Specialties: It’s an exciting time to  be a therapist as research shows that our minds, brains and relationships can continually grow and develop throughout our lives. This happens when we are engaged in safe relationships where our inner world feels seen and shared and we are supported in making sense of our relational experiences. My therapeutic approach and care of clients is motivated and supported by these hopeful findings.

My commitment and goal in counseling is to create a safe and collaborative environment in which an individual, couple or family can explore and make sense of how their inner experiences and external relational patterns can either restrict or foster a greater sense of connection with themselves and others.

I specialize in working with couples in all seasons of life, premarital preparation, divorce and remarriage, adults impacted by childhood abuse and neglect, adults experiencing grief and loss, trauma, anxiety and depression, and families with adolescents or adult children encountering difficult life transitions.

My approach to counseling is shaped by the psychological and developmental frameworks of attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, and family systems theory in conversation with the Christian tradition.

Some of my clinical approaches include emotion-focused therapy, internal family systems, somatic experiencing and mindfulness-based practices. For clients who desire to integrate their faith in therapy, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate their spiritual beliefs.
