Specialties:  Couples in all seasons of the life cycle, premarital preparation, divorce, remarriage, blended families, parenting issues, trauma work with adults impacted by childhood abuse and neglect, adults experiencing grief and loss, anxiety and depression, physical, emotional and spiritual abuse, families with adolescents or adult children encountering difficult life transitions.

 

Clay served as a pastor and a pastoral counselor for fifteen years prior to transitioning to full-time clinical work.  As a result, he has a particular passion for working with clergy and religious professionals seeking to maintain a healthy sense of self in the midst of the demands of ministry life.  Clay also specializes in working with couples navigating the complex loyalty conflicts resulting from the spiritual transformation or religious conversion of at least one partner.

Specialties:  I am a Licensed Master Social Worker currently working with individuals in all stages of life, as well as couples.

 

I draw on my previous experience as a parent educator and a hospital social worker to help clients explore how early experiences have shaped and influenced their current struggles. I am strongly client-centered, and committed to helping clients build on their strengths and resources in order to achieve their goals.

 

As a therapist, I am a committed advocate for healthy relationships, happy families, and peaceful communities.

 

My specialties include adolescents, parent education, and clergy families.
