Professional Accreditation: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, State of Missouri

 

Associations: Clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the St. Louis Association for Marriage and Family Therapy where she served in the past as Secretary of their Board of Directors. Member of Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Alumni Association where she served in the past as Secretary of their Board of Directors.

Specialities: Ellen provides individual, couple, and family therapy for a variety of clinical issues from psychodynamic and family systems perspectives. Ellen specializes in anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, abuse recovery (sexual, physical and emotional), relationship problems, adults and adolescents. Ellen has a passion to work with hurting people and finds it an honor to be part of the healing process that can occur through psychotherapy. She values and prioritizes developing a strong and authentic relationship with her clients. Ellen takes a collaborative approach with her clients to help with relief of the emotional pain that brought them to therapy, as well as, to gain a deeper understanding into the roots of their problems.

 

Ellen’s original training was in family systems theory. She also completed the Advanced Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (APP) Program and the Child and Adolescent Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (CAPP) Program at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute in 2012. Ellen has been trained with the Prepare/Enrich Program to provide premarital and marital enrichment counseling.
